Neil Bousfield RE

Neil Bousfield lives and works on the Norfolk Coast. He gained an MA in Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking from the University of the West of England in Bristol. Working in relief print and contemporary wood engraving, Bousfield’s practice explores landscape narrative and the concepts of change, transformation and palimpsest of geography, time and place. Working on personal projects, often for extended periods, his engravings are realised from drawings made on location, then developed in the studio. Recent works have developed from observed drawings of the landscape made in response to the environmental and geological narratives near to his home on the North Norfolk coast.

Bousfield’s work is held within public collections including the National Art Library, Victoria and Albert Museum, The Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, MMU Special Collections, Manchester, Pallant House Gallery, Chichester, Ohio State University Libraries, USA, China Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) and the Jiangsu Art Museum, Nanjing, China. Work is also held in private collections in Australia, France, USA, Canada and the UK.
